Neuro Physiotherapy is a specialised form of Physiotherapy that focuses on rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions or injuries. These conditions may arise from accidents, diseases, or other medical events that affect the central nervous system, impacting movement and coordination. Our approach specifically addresses movement control problems by using techniques such as the Bobath Concept which focuses on re-educating normal movement to regain function.
No, our expertise extends to helping individuals with a variety of mobility challenges. We provide comprehensive support for those who have experienced: • Falls: Helping restore balance and confidence in movement. • Balance and vestibular issues: We have specialist balance and vestibular-trained physiotherapists • Recent illness and hospital admissions: Assisting in regaining strength and mobility post-recovery. • Complex poly trauma patients: Offering tailored rehabilitation to address multiple injuries. • Orthopaedic joint replacements: Facilitating a smooth recovery and return to daily activities after surgery. Whether you’re dealing with a neurological condition or facing general mobility issues, our goal is to help you improve your independence, function, and overall quality of life.
Most individuals with neurological impairments will benefit from Neuro Physiotherapy. During your initial assessment, our experienced physiotherapists will work closely with you to identify areas for improvement. We’ll set personalised treatment goals and continuously review your progress to ensure that the therapy is effective and aligned with your needs. Please give us a call or get in touch here if you are unsure whether we would be able to help you.
• The duration of your treatment with us depends on factors such as:
• Your specific goals and the extent of your current issues.
• Your progress, which is regularly assessed by our team.
• Maintenance needs, if long-term support is required.
Once your goals are met or your progress stabilises, we’ll reassess your treatment plan. Some patients may benefit from ongoing sessions to maintain their progress, while others may transition to a self-managed exercise program.
For your initial assessment, please bring: • Loose, comfortable clothing (e.g., shorts and a T-shirt or vest top). • Any therapeutic equipment you currently use (splints, walking aids, etc.). • Relevant medical records/letters related to your condition. • A list of current medications. These items help us conduct a thorough assessment and create the most effective treatment plan for you.
